Which countries and currencies can automatic payouts reach?

Automatic payouts can reach affiliate Stripe accounts registered in 34 countries, and only for commissions tracked in GBP, USD or EUR. Those are two separate limits and a payout has to clear both. Anything failing either one stays approved on your Commissions page, so you can still pay it yourself.

The two limits

1. The commission currency. Automatic payouts settle in GBP, USD and EUR only. That is the currency the sale was tracked in, not the affiliate's home currency. A commission in CAD, AUD or JPY cannot go out automatically even when the affiliate is somewhere we can reach.
2. The affiliate's payout country. Stripe only permits platform to account transfers inside its own cross border set, so the country on the affiliate's connected Stripe account has to be one of these.

Countries the automatic rail can reach

United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Switzerland, plus the European Economic Area: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Connected does not always mean payable

Stripe lets people open a Connect account in more countries than it lets us send to, so an affiliate can finish onboarding, pass every check, and still sit somewhere we can never transfer to. LinkJolt now refuses to create a payout account outside the list above, and asks that affiliate to save a PayPal or Wise email instead. Accounts connected before that check went in still show as connected, so the Payout details column of your Affiliates page marks those rows "Paid by CSV" with the country code.

Connected only means the affiliate finished onboarding. It does not mean money can reach them. Check the country before you count on an automatic payout for someone.

What happens when a payout cannot be sent

Both limits are checked before any money moves:

1. Your saved card is never charged, and no fee is taken.
2. The queued payout is cancelled, not held for retry. Neither limit changes overnight, so a retry would only reserve money nobody can receive.
3. The commission stays approved and payable.
4. You get an alert to send it manually, and the affiliate is told too if they have a portal login.

The same checks run when you pay by hand: open Pay affiliates from your Commissions page and these commissions sit in the "Cannot be paid yet" group with the reason on each row, not the automatic Stripe group.

How to get these affiliates paid

While their only payout details are a Stripe account we cannot reach, there is no file to download, so the first step is theirs.

1. Ask the affiliate to save a PayPal or Wise payout email under Settings, Payment in their portal. Our alert links them straight there, which is why that group's Remind button skips them.
2. Their commissions then move into a file group in Pay affiliates. Download the file: the PayPal and Wise formats are laid out for sending from your own PayPal or Wise account, and the generic format carries each affiliate's name and payout email, the amount and currency, the order, campaign and date, plus totals per currency.
3. Send the money yourself from PayPal, Wise or your bank, then confirm in the same dialog. Nothing is marked paid until you do.

Anyone with no usable email is left out of that file and named on screen. Check Portal Branding, Payout Methods too: with PayPal and Wise switched off, affiliates outside the automatic rail have nothing to save.

Automatic payouts also need a Professional plan or above, and someone with payout permission has to accept the payout terms in Settings, Payouts.
