Stripe for tracking and Stripe for payouts are two different things

LinkJolt has two unrelated Stripe setups, and finishing one does not finish the other. One lets LinkJolt see your sales. The other lets an approved commission reach an affiliate. Each can be working while the other is not.

Stripe for tracking: so LinkJolt sees your sales

This lives in the Integration Hub, on the Stripe tab, as three steps: add the tracking script to your site, pass the tracking data into your checkout, then set up the webhook.

Only the webhook step has a shortcut:

1. Connect your Stripe account from that step. Your Stripe events then reach LinkJolt automatically, with no endpoint to create and no secret to paste.
2. Or do it by hand: add the webhook URL shown on the page in your Stripe dashboard, copy the signing secret that starts with whsec_, and save it under Settings, Payment Providers.

The first two steps are still yours either way. Connecting Stripe tells LinkJolt that a payment happened. The script and the checkout wiring are what say which affiliate to credit.

That same connection also creates affiliate coupon codes inside your Stripe account, so disconnecting LinkJolt from your Stripe dashboard stops both jobs at once.

If the connection is revoked, or the saved signing secret no longer matches, LinkJolt rejects every incoming event and records no sales at all, while your payout setup carries on looking healthy.

Nothing on this screen can pay anybody.

Stripe for payouts: your card funds it, the affiliate receives it

Your half is Settings, Payouts, visible to the account owner and to team members with payout permission. You do not connect a Stripe account in order to pay affiliates. You enable charge funded payouts, which authorises LinkJolt to charge your saved card for the payout amount plus Stripe's processing cost of 2.9% and 30 cents, passed through. LinkJolt takes 0%. A batch goes out as one charge per affiliate per currency, so one failure cannot block the rest, and each charge carries its own 30 cents, which is why a batch fee is slightly more than 2.9% of the total. You choose which saved card is charged, and turning the setting off cancels anything queued while leaving those commissions approved.

Auto-payouts sit on the same tab, on the Professional and Ultimate plans, and cannot be switched on until charge funded payouts are enabled. With them on, approving a commission queues it for roughly 24 hours later, and it goes out on the next daily payout run. It never approves commissions for you.

The affiliate's half happens in their own portal, under Settings, Payment. They connect their own Stripe account there, and that account receives the money. It has to be registered in a country LinkJolt can transfer to: the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Switzerland, or the EEA. An affiliate outside that list cannot even finish connecting.

The automated route also settles only in pounds, US dollars and euros. A commission in any other currency stays manual whatever the affiliate has connected.

Telling the two apart when something is wrong

• An approved commission never leaves while sales keep appearing: the payout side. Check charge funded payouts, then that affiliate.
• Payouts run but no new conversions appear: the tracking side. Check the connection or the signing secret in the Integration Hub.

Pay affiliates, on the Commissions page, sorts approved commissions by how each affiliate can actually receive money. Anyone who saved a PayPal or Wise email gets a downloadable file in that provider's format, which you pay yourself from your own PayPal, Wise or bank account. Anyone who gave you nothing sits under "Cannot be paid yet", where the only useful action is a reminder.
