Six ways: a personal email invitation, a shareable signup link, a pasted list of addresses, the Discovery marketplace on Professional and above, importing your existing roster from another platform, or the Developer API on Ultimate and Scale.
There are six ways in, and you can mix them freely. Most start on the Affiliates page in your dashboard.
Click Invite Affiliate, stay on the Specific Affiliate tab, leave Affiliate Type on New Affiliate, pick the campaign and enter their email address. Name is optional. Send Invitation emails them a personal link.
To add an affiliate you already have to another campaign, switch Affiliate Type to Existing Affiliate and pick them.
Same dialog, Signup Link tab. Pick the campaign and click Generate Invitation Link. That is one reusable link for that campaign that anyone can follow, so it suits a newsletter or a partners page.
A signup link cannot be switched off once it exists. Treat it as permanent and public, and use personal invitations for anyone you want to keep control over.
Affiliates page, Find affiliates tab. Choose the campaign under Invite them to, then paste or upload up to 100 email addresses. Everyone gets the same personal invitation as the single flow. Addresses already invited to that campaign, already on it, or rejected from it before are skipped automatically, and the result lists what was skipped.
On the Professional plan and above, your active campaigns are listed in the Discovery marketplace by default and affiliates browsing LinkJolt can apply. Visibility is set under Advanced settings on the campaign, or on the Discover page afterwards. See "How does the Discovery marketplace help me find affiliates?".
Affiliates page, Import affiliates. Four steps:
Nobody is emailed by an import, and the affiliates it creates have no login. An address that already belongs to another LinkJolt affiliate account is not imported: invite that person instead. If your old platform's link handles are in the file, links your affiliates already shared keep working once your site runs the LinkJolt tracking script.
On Ultimate and Scale, creating an affiliate through the API returns a ready-to-share tracking link with no login involved.
Signup-link and Discovery joins follow the campaign's approval setting, under Advanced settings, which reads either Auto-Approve Enabled or Manual Approval Required. Manual is the default, so they sit pending until you approve them on the Affiliates page. That setting governs membership only, never commissions, which you always approve yourself.
Rejecting someone is permanent for that campaign. No invitation, signup link or Discovery application can bring them back. If you might change your mind, approve them and suspend them later instead: a suspension can be reversed.
The Starter plan is capped at 10 affiliates. Professional and above are unlimited.

Why is my commission still pending?
A commission stays pending until the merchant reviews and approves it, and merchants approve on their own schedule. LinkJolt has no setting and no timer that approves commissions automatically, so pending means the merchant has not actioned it yet.
Connect Stripe so your commissions can be paid automatically
Connecting your own Stripe account in the affiliate portal is what lets a merchant's automated payout reach you. Your commissions are tracked and approved either way, but without a connected account the merchant pays you by hand through PayPal, Wise or a bank transfer instead.
Where do I find my affiliate link?
Your link already exists, there is nothing to generate. Sign in to the affiliate portal, open Campaigns, and press Copy Link in the Tracking link column of any campaign you have been approved for.
Can affiliates start promoting before I approve them?
Yes. Pending affiliates can generate tracking links and drive conversions right away, but those commissions stay unpaid until you approve both the affiliate and the commission. Nothing is paid out without your approval.
