Credited from the order page
When the customer reaches Squarespace's order page, the snippet sends LinkJolt the order number and subtotal, and the sale is credited to the affiliate whose link they arrived through in the last 30 days.
Not for your own store. Squarespace runs an affiliate program that pays people for referring new Squarespace customers, and its Extensions marketplace lists third-party affiliate apps, but Squarespace itself has no way to give your partners tracking links, set their commission or pay them. LinkJolt adds that layer with two snippets in Code Injection.

When the customer reaches Squarespace's order page, the snippet sends LinkJolt the order number and subtotal, and the sale is credited to the affiliate whose link they arrived through in the last 30 days.
Customers can reopen the order status page whenever they like. The snippet runs on the first view only, and LinkJolt records each order number once, so a revisit never counts twice.
A sale reported from the order page is never approved automatically. It lands as pending in Commissions with its commission worked out; approve it once the order is real.
Everything goes in Squarespace's Code Injection: the tracking script in Header and the purchase snippet in the order slot. Nothing to install, no API key to hand over.
Partners get their own branded dashboard with their links, live earnings and payout setup, included on every plan.
Stripe payouts transfer each affiliate their share to the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland; for everyone else, export a CSV for PayPal or Wise.
The same steps the Integration Hub walks you through after you sign up, with your real merchant ID filled in.
Code injection is available in Squarespace's Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some legacy billing plans. Checkout pages take no code, and none is needed there.
Squarespace Affiliate Tracking: Code Injection Setup (LinkJolt) (1:20)

Watch on YouTubeSelling on Squarespace? Here's how to credit sales to your affiliates, with two snippets in Code Injection.
In LinkJolt, open Integrations, then Other platforms, and pick Squarespace. Code Injection needs the Core plan or above.
Step one: copy the tracking script, then open Code Injection in your Squarespace site.
Paste it into Header, and save.
Step two is the purchase snippet. Pick what you sell. For physical, digital or service products, it goes in the Order Status Page slot.
It reads the order's subtotal and order ID from Squarespace. The first page view wrapper stops it counting the same order twice when a customer comes back to the page.
Paste it into Order Status Page, and save. Selling gift cards, memberships or subscriptions? Use the Order Confirmation Page slot instead.
Now a customer arrives through an affiliate's link and places an order. When the order page loads, the snippet reports the sale to LinkJolt.
And it's credited to Leo, waiting for your approval. Sales reported from the page always wait for you: LinkJolt never approves them automatically.
That's the setup. Try LinkJolt free for seven days at linkjolt.io.
Sign up, create a campaign with your commission terms, then open Integrations, Other platforms, Squarespace. Your tracking script and purchase snippet are there with your merchant ID filled in.
In Squarespace open Code Injection (Pages, Website Tools, Code Injection), paste the tracking script into Header and save. It runs on every page and remembers which affiliate sent the visitor.
Physical, digital or service products: Order Status Page. Gift cards, memberships or subscriptions: Order Confirmation Page. Sell both? Paste it into both.
Invite partners by email or share your public sign-up link. Each gets their own tracking link in their portal.
<script src="https://www.linkjolt.io/api/tracking.js?id=YOUR_MERCHANT_ID" async></script>Code Injection lives under Pages, Website Tools, Code Injection. Can't find it? Squarespace's own guide opens the panel for you: Using code injection.
Paste into Order Status Page:
{.if firstPageView}
<script>
window.linkjoltQueue = window.linkjoltQueue || [];
window.linkjoltQueue.push(function (linkjolt) {
if (!linkjolt.isAffiliateVisit()) return;
linkjolt.trackPurchase(
{orderSubtotalCents}/100,
{ orderId: '{orderId}' }
);
});
</script>
{.end}Paste into Order Confirmation Page:
<script>
window.linkjoltQueue = window.linkjoltQueue || [];
window.linkjoltQueue.push(function (linkjolt) {
if (!linkjolt.isAffiliateVisit()) return;
linkjolt.trackPurchase(
{orderSubtotalCents}/100,
{ orderId: '{orderId}' }
);
});
</script>{orderSubtotalCents} and {orderId} are Squarespace's own order tags, filled in when the page loads. The {.if firstPageView} tags run the snippet on the first view of the order status page only.
What a sale reported from Squarespace's order page does and does not do.
LinkJolt hears about a Squarespace order from its order page and nothing after that, so a refund does not reverse the commission by itself. Reject the sale in Commissions before you approve it.
An order is credited to the affiliate whose link the customer used. A Squarespace discount code still gives its discount, but on its own it does not say which affiliate to credit.
The first order of a Squarespace subscription is credited from the Order Confirmation Page. Renewals are charged without a page visit, so they pay no recurring commission.
The snippet reads {orderSubtotalCents}, so commission is worked out on the subtotal (swap in {orderGrandTotalCents} for the grand total). Squarespace sends no currency, so the sale is recorded in your brand's currency from Settings.
The customer's browser reports the sale, so a browser that blocks the LinkJolt script sends nothing and that order is not credited.
Every reported order goes through LinkJolt's rule-based fraud checks, and an affiliate you have rejected or suspended on the campaign earns nothing.
What Squarespace store owners ask before setting a program up
Not for your own store.
One with code injection: Squarespace says it is available in the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and some legacy billing plans. Both LinkJolt snippets go in Code Injection, and nothing else on the Squarespace side is needed: no app, no API key.
Two places in Code Injection. The tracking script goes in Header. The purchase snippet goes in Order Status Page if you sell physical, digital or service products, or Order Confirmation Page if you sell gift cards, memberships or subscriptions. A store that sells both pastes the snippet into both slots.
No. Customers can return to the order status page whenever they like, so the snippet sits inside Squarespace's {.if firstPageView} tags and runs on the first view only. LinkJolt also records each order number once per campaign, so a repeat report is ignored.
Two ways. Stripe payouts charge your saved card and Stripe transfers each affiliate their share, reaching the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland. For affiliates elsewhere, export a mass-payout CSV for PayPal or Wise.
Plans start at $19.99 a month with 0% transaction fees on affiliate revenue, and there is a 7-day free trial. Squarespace tracking is included on every plan.
