Credited from the confirmation page
BigCommerce fills in the order number and total on its order confirmation page, and the code sends them to LinkJolt, credited to the affiliate whose link the customer arrived through in the last 30 days.
Not one you can run for your store. BigCommerce's own affiliate program, which paid partners for referring customers to BigCommerce, closed on May 17, 2025, and BigCommerce has no feature for giving your partners tracking links, commissions or payouts. It does have Affiliate Conversion Tracking, a box in Data solutions whose code runs on the order confirmation page with the order number and total filled in. LinkJolt uses it to credit each order to the affiliate who sent it.
This page is about running a program for your own store: the tool, the setup, and what it does and does not track.
BigCommerce fills in the order number and total on its order confirmation page, and the code sends them to LinkJolt, credited to the affiliate whose link the customer arrived through in the last 30 days.
The tracking script runs on storefront pages and the confirmation page, never on the checkout, so it stays out of BigCommerce's integrity-hash rule for payment pages.
LinkJolt records each order number once per campaign, so a customer refreshing the confirmation page never counts the sale twice.
A sale reported from the confirmation page is never approved automatically. It lands as pending in Commissions, after LinkJolt's rule-based fraud checks, with its commission worked out.
Partners get their own branded dashboard with their links, live earnings and payout setup, included on every plan.
Stripe payouts transfer each affiliate their share to the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland; for everyone else, export a CSV for PayPal or Wise.
The same steps the Integration Hub walks you through after you sign up, with your real merchant ID filled in.
Script Manager is for stores on a Stencil theme, and Affiliate Conversion Tracking needs the Manage Web Analytics permission on your BigCommerce user account.
Sign up, create a campaign with your commission terms, then open Integrations, Other platforms, BigCommerce. Your tracking script and conversion code are there with your merchant ID filled in.
In BigCommerce open Storefront, Script Manager and click Create a Script. Set Placement to Header and Location to Storefront pages, paste the tracking script as the script's contents and save.
In Settings, Data solutions, click Connect next to Affiliate Conversion Tracking, paste the conversion code into the Conversion Tracking Code box and click Connect. It carries the tracking script too, because this box runs only on the order confirmation page.
Invite partners by email or share your public sign-up link. Each gets their own tracking link in their portal.

What a sale reported from BigCommerce's confirmation page does and does not do.
LinkJolt hears about a BigCommerce order from its confirmation page and nothing after that, so a refund does not reverse the commission by itself. Reject the sale in Commissions before you approve it.
An order is credited to the affiliate whose link the customer used. A BigCommerce coupon code still gives its discount, but on its own it does not say which affiliate to credit.
BigCommerce's conversion variables carry no currency, so the code sends the amount alone and LinkJolt records it in your brand's currency from Settings. Set it to the currency your store sells in.
The customer's browser reports the sale, so a browser that blocks the LinkJolt script sends nothing and that order is not credited.
BigCommerce manages Data solutions per storefront and keeps Script Manager in Channel Manager, so add both pieces to every storefront your affiliates send customers to.
Script Manager files every script under a category. With BigCommerce's cookie consent banner on, shoppers can opt out of every category except Essential, and a shopper who opts out of the script's category is not tracked.
What BigCommerce store owners ask before setting a program up
Not one you can run for your store. It does have Affiliate Conversion Tracking, a box in Data solutions whose code runs on the order confirmation page with the order number and total filled in. Because All pages includes your checkout. BigCommerce says a script on a payment page, such as the checkout, must carry an integrity hash for PCI DSS, and a hash stops matching when the script changes; the LinkJolt script ships new versions. Storefront pages covers every page a visitor lands on from an affiliate link, and the order confirmation page gets the script from the Affiliate Conversion Tracking box instead.
A Stencil theme and the Manage Web Analytics permission. BigCommerce offers Script Manager only to stores using Stencil themes, and managing Affiliate Conversion Tracking needs the Manage Web Analytics permission on your user account. No app and no API key are needed.
The order total. The code reads BigCommerce's %%ORDER_AMOUNT_IN_CENTS%%, the order total in cents, and divides it by 100. To pay on the subtotal after coupons and discounts instead, swap in %%ORDER_SUBTOTAL_DISCOUNTED_IN_CENTS%%, which BigCommerce fills in on the same page.
Two ways. Stripe payouts charge your saved card and Stripe transfers each affiliate their share, reaching the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland. For affiliates elsewhere, export a mass-payout CSV for PayPal or Wise.
Plans start at $19.99 a month with 0% transaction fees on affiliate revenue, and there is a 7-day free trial. BigCommerce tracking is included on every plan.
