First, where LinkJolt is genuinely the wrong choice

No hedging. These are real limits, and if one of them is your situation, stop reading and pick from the list below.

Your affiliates are mostly outside the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland. Our automated payouts reach those regions in GBP, USD or EUR. Everyone else is paid through a mass-payout CSV you run through PayPal or Wise. That works, and nobody is unpayable, but if 80% of your partners are in Asia, Latin America or Africa, our automation advantage mostly evaporates and you are comparing manual processes. 2. FirstPromoter, for white-label and wider billing support

$49 for Starter with a $5,000 monthly cap, $99 for Business at $15,000, $149 and up for Enterprise.

Where it beats us: native support for Stripe, Paddle, Recurly, Chargebee and Braintree, which is the widest subscription-billing coverage in this group, plus a REST API for anything else. Their white-label portal customisation goes further than ours, so if the affiliate experience must look entirely like your product on your own domain, they do it better. 14-day trial, no card.

3. Tolt, for programs with immediate scale

$69 for Basic, $99 for Growth, $199 for Pro, with monthly affiliate-revenue allowances of $10,000, $20,000 and $50,000. Monthly billing only, no annual option.

Where it beats us: the entry allowance is twice ours, so if you are already generating $10,000 a month through affiliates, Tolt's $69 tier covers you where our $19.99 tier would not. 4. PromoteKit, for the cheapest Stripe-only option

A free plan covering your first 3 referrals, then $29 a month, with no transaction fees on any tier.

Where it beats us: the free plan lets you validate the channel at zero cost, which our 3-day trial does not. Their payout model keeps money entirely in your own account, and if you were going to pay affiliates by hand anyway, you are not paying for automation you will not use.

5. PartnerStack, for a partner channel rather than affiliates

No published pricing; the entry route is a demo. Third-party procurement data puts typical contracts around $20,000 a year.

• Most of your affiliates are in the US, UK, Europe, Canada or Switzerland, so automated payouts actually cover them.
• You want payouts automated without your money passing through anyone else's balance. Your saved card funds the charge and Stripe transfers straight to each affiliate.
• You are moving from Rewardful, FirstPromoter, Tolt or Affonso. Our importer pulls your roster across with payout details intact, and links your affiliates already shared keep working.

How to actually decide

Shortlist two, not five. Then, inside each trial, run the same five checks: make a real purchase through an affiliate link, refund it and confirm the commission reverses, trigger or ask about a renewal, test a coupon code with no click, and buy again with an ad blocker on.
